77th to 80th Day

Mon/2nd Nov/77th Day

Hmm. What did i do that day? Oh yeah, i remember. I follow Edward with Jack, Lim and Cosmas to help him setup the monitor at RRR for the General Manager meetings on the next day. After went to Frankie's cyber cafe to take ten monitor and having our lunch. We headed straight to RRR and arrive there around 2 pm. As I expected, an easy job becomes complicated and time consuming as it always the case in RRR, well, at least for me. ^^ Another OT for me, Jack and Cosmas that day. The next day, the three of us decided to take leave. ^o^

Wed/4th Nov/78th Day

Snappping photos task at last started that day starting at Wisma Merdeka|Phase 2. Well, indeed it's not a fun works since you have to walk a lot and speak a lot (one significant incident happen that force us to ask for a permission to take photos on each of the shop lot inside it. We been scolded by one of shop owner since he doesn't want us to take photos of his shop. Something related to trademark register or copycat. Damn that guy.). We can't finish the photo snapping for Phase 1 since the manager are not around.

Thur/5th Nov/79th Day

Today, we continue our photo snapping task at Wisma Sabah and Wawasan Plaza. Still, as i mentioned yesterday. Not really a fun works since we walk a lot and also sweat a lot because of the heat from the sun (we still need to go outside to take photos if the shop lot are facing outside rather than inside). That evening i stay in the office and help him with his works.

Fri/6th Nov/80th Day

We can't continue the photo snapping task since there are many people in the shopping complex during that day. So, i decided to follow Kenny back to RRR again. One firewall need to be install in the network. Eric have give Kenny all the commands and checklist things to do but still we are stuck somewhere as always the case is in RRR. What's with that place? There's never an easy and less time consuming works there. After all the routing are doing fine, suddenly the email server is down and force us stay there until 2 am in the morning. But guess what, it still didn't work and Kenny finally decided to revert back to the original design using one firewall with the email server is still down since we are damn tired and sleepy. Not to mention hungry. To cut the story short, i reach home around 5 am. The funny things is, i even got a consolation prize. Flu. Well, i think that things are to be expected after a grueling 12 hours in the server room.

p/s : After all that hard time in RRR. I do believe networking for non-government staff is really tough. Not only networking side but also the technical part which is cabling. Really gonna think hard for the future based on this experience.

70th - 76th Day

Wed/21th Oct/70th Day

There's nothing much happen that day if i'm not forgotten. I just stay in the office and still trying my best with Jack to solve the LDAP task given by Eric.

Thur/22th Oct/71th Day and Fri/23th Oct/72th Day

I'm back to RRR with Kenny again and this time with Jack to solve the problem we faced on last tuesday. Haven't solved the problem on thursday (most probably because of the public ip given) though we went back a bit late and the three of us came back there again on friday and it's really out of my expectation that the three of us are forced to stay there one night to solve the problem. Imagine, we have went to server room around 2 am in the morning though it's not a bad idea after all since we have a chance to stay in the hotel room. The guest internet connection still having a problem where the connection are intermittent. So, we try to check the routing and kept changing the public ip and the routing. So, around 3+ am, we give up and headed to sleep. But suddenly in the morning, it seems that the guest internet connection are doing fine though there are still some intermittent problem but at least it's more better than the last night. We went back to office the next day around 3 pm. So, that's how the RRR second internet line tale finish. (Pity for Kenny as he went back there again that evening as the administrator connection turn out having a problem)

Tue/27th Oct/73th Day

It's been a while since i follow Edward going out. That morning i follow Edward to PERKESO to do PM with Cosmas and Chris while Kristy and Jack follow Benny. There's nothing much happen as it's just a normal routine where we do defragmentation, hard disk error checking, anti virus scan and a little bit of cleaning the pc. That evening, i just stay in the office and kept myself busy by either playing Facebook or do some reading and CCNA flashback since i got nothing else to do.

Wed/28th Oct/74th Day

Almost the same with yesterday evening session activities. I just stay in the office and kept myself busy by either playing Facebook or do some reading and CCNA flashback since i got nothing else to do.

Thur/29th Oct/75th Day

That day myself and Jack follow Kenny to Jabatan Laut to solve the wireless problem in there. It's been reported that the wireless connection are down. So, we headed there and try to troubleshoot it. At first, we thought maybe it's because the cable for the wireless are connected to the wrong port in the switch since the switch port have been configured with VLAN but that seems not to be the problem. So, we try to check the Nomadix and still the nomadix are doing fine since it's leasing an IP address. So, we directly headed to the wireless AP itself and it turns out to be source of the problem after we take out the battery. Thanks God it's that easy after that a hell of a time in RRR.

Fri/30th Oct/76t Day

Today marks the start of task given to me and Larry by Christina supervise by Kevin which is to take picture of shop lot. But for today, we just simply went to three places which was Wisma Merdeka, Wisma KK and Centre Point to ask for permission and show them the paper work given by DBKK. Wonder how the works will go on this Monday.

69th Day

My first OT during my practical. Hohoho. Today, i follow Kenny to RRR to setup the second internet line. Though we expected that it will take times to finish it but it's far than i expected i would be back home around 11 pm. After doing some routing and configuration on the new Router and the load balancer. By right, the second internet should be working fine. But as always, it turns out to be a problem. So, we try to fix it until late night but the problem still doesn't solve. What a turndown event it was. That's how my days were spent.

68th Day

What have i done today? Oh yeah. Now. I remember. It's back to the old days Today, i follow Lim to DBKK to do printer maintenance. It's quite the same job as i done almost 2 months ago which was cleaning the dot matrix printer and some color printer. But it's quite a bored task and i would been lying if i say i don't like it. But anyway, a job is job and i still do my best to finish it.

68th, 69th and 70th Day

Wed/14th Oct/68th Day and Thur/15th Oct/69th Day

Both this day were spent trying to understand and complete the task given by Eric to us. It's about LDAP or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. Or in easy explanation, it something like Active Directory for unix version. Though i don't even fully understand Active Directory itself, so this task is gonna be harder that i expected. Up to this two days, there's no improving progress as we are stuck on how to configure the configuration script file. Hopefully we were able to do some improvement progress next week.

Fri/16th Oct/70th Day

Today, i follow Kenny, Soel and Cornelius to Rasa Ria Resort. There's nothing much happen or to do as Soel and Cornelius only have to install 4 network point and both me and Kenny just do a simple network setup between two pc and even were given a handout on how to do it. But we do finish a bit late because of the problem they are having where the system were attack by a virus and it makes a fuss in there and Kenny were unable to solve that. Maybe Eric needs to go back there and check it since it looks bad (i don't fully understand of what happen).

Noted : Gosh. It's been 5 days since my internet were down because of the problem then TM are experiencing now (seems that they system were attacked by a virus). Hopefully it will works fine again next week. Not only i'm unable to download but at the same time i also can't play farmville and mafia wars at night anymore. T.T

66th & 67th Day

Monday/12th Oct/66th day

Another week have to be faced. Today, there's nothing much happen as i follow the staff to do things as usual. In the morning, i follow Edward to finish the device tagging for DBKK that myself and Cornelius done few days ago. In the evening, i again were bring by the staff to help them carry and install 20 pc's in the Cyber cafe. Luckily we were able to finish the job before 5 pm where 9 man power were used to finish it.

Tuesday/13th Oct/67th Day

Again today i were bring out by the staff to help them. My partner for today is Jack and both of us follow Benny. As usual, there's nothing much happen as we only do some printer maintenance or just accompany Benny to the customer site and look at him settle the jobs. -Sigh- That's how my days today were spent.

Friday, October 9, 2009

65th Day

What i've done today? Oh yeah, i remember. Today, myself, jack and chris follow Edward to help him assemble back all the pc which was 20 in total in the megalab at UMS. Though we didn't plan to finish it in one day but because of our GREAT teamwork, we do finish it even before 4 o'clock in the evening. Not a bad way to end another miserable 5 days though it's a bit energy consuming.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

64th Day

Another day without motivation in myself. Today, Edward bring me and Cosmas to DBKK Centre Point branch to finish the job that both me and Cornelius have done the past two days. Same as usual, we take record whole devices serial number range from HP switch, server, printer and UPS. Then, in the evening. Both me and Jack follow Benny to certain places to do some troubleshoot at the customer site and also do some printer maintenance. That is how my days ends.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

63rd Day

Guess what? Day by day i'm feeling less motivation to go to office. I just keep doing stuff that are not even gave me any input or knowledge. Today, i continue my works yesterday with Cornelius in DBKK for half day. Then, in the evening. I again follow Cornelius with Simon. I would say that is one of a hell bored experience ever. Simon visit the incomplete office site to check the place. The visit that i thought would finish around 15 to 30 minutes were extend nearly 1 hour and a half because of those long and lost in translation discussion between them (Johny and Goh also visit the place with other more boss from other place). Gosh. How actually i'm gonna score for my grade in Industrial Training if goes on like this.

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

62nd Day

Today, it's my first task together with Cornelius. Cornelius were asked to tag or in other words stick the sticker as a record for next year PM in DBKK. It's actually not a work that needs any specialty as we only need to match the number on the sticker with the serial number of the device. That's all we need to do. And that work continue until at the end of the day and i think we will still go there tomorrow. We just have to wait and see.

Monday, October 5, 2009

61st Day

What actually i've done today? Nothing in the morning as both me and Larry waiting for Kevin as we thought we will go out to start the task where we will have to take shop lot picture. Than we were told by Kevin it's still not sure yet. Than that evening. Both me and Larry were bring by Edward to Desa Lok Kawi (with Kristy and Kenny as Edward also bring them after fetch them from DBKK) to troubleshoot some network printer problem. But sadly, that problem are not settle yet as we only managed to connect one client pc to the server printer after we changed the domain to workgroup in the server printer. That's how my day were spent.

26/09 - 02/10

Well, well. It's been ages since i last post on my blog. I seems to be a bit lazy and got tendency to become more lazier. ^o^ Let's cut the story short and back to the report.

26/09

Hmm. It's been a week plus for this one. What actually i've done that day? I remember that morning i follow Benny to send invoice to the customer site while Kristy and Jack follow Kenny to DBKK half day. Then, at the evening again i follow Benny but this time both Jack and Kristy also follow us. I think that's all activity i've done that day.

28/09 to 29/09

Ok. I confuse and forgot about this two days. I remember i went to JPSM with Jack, Cosmas and Edward to do some PM either monday or tuesday. Then, the next day or the first day either monday or tuesday i follow Edward and Benny with Larry and Jack to send invoice. And a funny incident happen at that moment, the van that we used (supposedly me and Jack follow Benny using Mr.Hiew brother's car but the car parking hydraulics is having a problem, so we follow Edward and seems we are sharing the van)
are unable to start and we are forced to push the van manually to start the engine. Hahahaha. That is a very bad day for us.

30/09 to 01/10

Starting that day, both me and Larry are involved in a new project supervise by Christina (the programming department boss) and Kevin. Well, not many things could i say since it's not exactly an IT works related. It more to the geographical site works as we have to take photos of the shop lot in KK and map it to the server. Haven't start the photo taking part but the part where we have to rename the photo using the standard naming they designed as it helps the system to read the details of each of the photo is quite boring. Not quite actually, it is boring. We have to see hundreds of shop lot picture and have trace the details of the picture by referring to the excel file where all the shop lot data were put. Basically, that's how my two days out of my five days works were spent that week.

02/10

One of the worst and tired working days during my practical. The works is simple. Transfer 43 pc's from megalab to the Canselory Hall in UMS. Sounds easy than it looks. The part where we have to take the whole 43 pc's is actually the hardest part. The worst part of all, we have to do that while there are plenty of students in the lab at that time. Gosh, i'm so angry and unsatisfied. It really felts that we (myself, Larry, Cosmas and Christ) were used. =,="
Luckily i'm involved in a new project though i'm not very sure also about it. We just have to wait and see.

52nd & 53rd Day

Now, again this was suppose for yesterday's post but i gone out around 9 pm to watch movie and i went back home a bit late. But G-Force really rocks man. A guiney pig carry a rifle and can drive? How is that not suppose to be interesting to watch, ain't it? Back to the main point because my eyes are getting heavier and i need to sleep more early that yesterday to cover the sleep time. What i have done yesterday? Went out with Jack follow Edward to do some PM and send invoice to the customer site. A bit bored but it still fun rather than staying in the office. We went out again in the evening with the same team to KYC (Kinabalu Yacht Club) at Tanjung Aru to check the manager's pc problem and also help to fixed the F-Secure configuration on one the staff's pc. We thought we will only take a short time in there but again we were wrong. Then later that evening, as usual. We stop by at Tanjung Aru shop to buy some fruit (sedap oo tu manga campur belacan, lada, kicap, amoi. pedas2 manis. tmbh lagi tu minuman tebu cmpr limau brpn tu tebu x rasa uda. hahaha). Damn, it's like a ritual for us whenever we follow Edward went out to eat or drink something at that end of the day. That's how our days end.

Today (24th Sept)

What a bad luck i have today. I just felt want to punch someone straight to the face right now. It starts when the three of us (we went out follow Kenny to Jabatan Laut to fixed the network problem there. It seems that the internet are unreachable. A TM technician came there and confirm it's not because of the lease line. So, we try to troubleshoot the router that are connected to the lease line. It seems that the serial cable connect the router and the lease line is having a problem. The serial is up but the protocol is down. We try some basic troubleshoot but it still doesn't solve the problem. Even Eric have to go there by himself to check it. Lastly, we found out that the network card in the router are the source of the problem as the serial connection are working fine after we change to a new router that we bring from office) when eat at Sepanggar for our late lunch (it's past 2 pm when we start having our lunch). Well, actually it start in the morning when we rest to take some air cond in the airport (Kenny forgot to bring the stering lock and we have to wait for a while for Edward to bring it for us). Both me and Jack plan to eat McDonald's porridge but it's finish. Then, the bad luck continues on the evening in Sepanggar. That damn shop is really one of the worst eating place i have ever been. Not only the food i order came very late (imagine there are five of us, even after the four of them finish eating they food including the slow eater Kenny. The food i order haven't come yet), to make thing more worst. The Ikan Masin fried rice i order is full with the ikan masin bones. Haiz. The bad karma continues on home. The power supply for my pc is broke (ntah hangus ka pa). *Sigh* I got nothing else to say. It looks like another money have to spent to buy a new Power Supply. Gosh, i hate today so much..

P/S : Ooops, i forgot someone again. Kristy stay in the office the whole day. Not sure what she have done but i loss a war to her without my notice.

51st Day

Well, well, well. I'm not actually writing this post on this date. I wrote it on (24th September 09, 12.15 am) which is 9 days later. A bit lazy after a week holiday but who could blame me, it's been ages since i wake up late and sleep late every single day for 7 days. Hahaha. So, what actually i have done that day? Spent the whole day in RRR (Rasa Ria Resort) with Jack, Larry and Edward fixing the network point on one of the guest room which reported not giving any connection. But seriously, it's one of the consuming energy day in any of my day out during this practical especially the part where both me and Edward try to trace back the network point to it's switch. Not only the IT manager itself told us the wrong place, we ended up searching on each floor on the 5th block (dunno why all 5 star resort love to separated and named the building like wings or whatsoever) where actually it's on the ground floor on the sixth block. Man, that part really is sucks. Then we try to patch back the cable on the patch panel but the problem still the same. We do it almost few times and using Walkie-talkie to talk (we separated to two groups which on the slave side which was Jack and Larry and the master side which was me and Edward. We test the connection using a network tools which i forgot the name but it's really a cool device). Then, finally Edward decided to change the brown and the orange cable position and change the modular on the face plate. Wala. It's done. What a relieving time is it for us. Take note that we didn't eat that day until 4 pm in the evening as it really take us some time to figure out to solve it. And as usual, since all of us are damn hungry though it looks me and Jack are the one because we buy a lot of food in the Bazaar at Sepangar that evening. Hehehe. So, that's how that day was spent.

P/S : Ooops, looks like i forgot about someone. I'm not very sure what Kristy do that day since i don't even remember whether she went out or not. ^o^

Monday, September 14, 2009

50th Day

Damn. My whole body especially my right hand and butt are not feeling very good because of the yesterday activity. Gosh, i really need some exercise sometimes. Well, back to the main point. What happen today? Not much i would say. Morning session is just another facebooing, chatting and downloading for both me and Jack (again Kristy follow Kenny to DBKK). Then, in the evening. Edward finally decided to bring both me and Jack follow him. Though not much works to do but at least it can heal our office boredness. But one thing I like when we follow Edward, we always went to Bazaar to buy food. Yeah, fasting session is almost finish and Hari Raya is finally coming. It's all happiness but sadly for me, it's no more Bazaar in the evening. I really gonna miss that. T.T Yeah, tomorrow is the last day works for this weeks before we will take a one week holiday. At last, i can rest as much as i can and watch as much anime and movie as possible. ^o^

Sunday, September 13, 2009

It's all about bowling.

The caption for this post implies of what have i done today. I spent quite an amount of money just for play bowling today. 6 games straight for exact. Four games with Jack and another two games with my friends. But gosh, i really pay the price for that entertainment which make my finger a bit in pain. I play bowling with Jack in the morning and it's really fun as our games increases from one which is the original plan to four after we been addicted to it. The winner? I lost all four games to Jack. Damn he's good. Then, after having our lunch together. We split and i meet with my friends to watch movie, "Gamer". Then, before i went home. I bring my friends to play bowling again with me. Hahahaha. The weird thing is my score is much more better the last two games i play compare to the first four games with Jack which is 142 (My personal best) and 104. Yeah. Play bowling is so much fun and it's a great way to spend your weekends. ^o^

49th Day

Well, as i expected yesterday. We do went to Desa Lok Kawi again with the same team as the other day except Kristy (seems stay in the ofice for the whole day and i don't have any idea of what she doing. my guess maybe study the ebooks she download) is been replaced by Cosmas. Not exactly a bored day as compare staying in the office but maybe a bit tired and sleepy because not much things we do other than install Sophos anti virus on each computer and perform a full system scanning. But gosh, i really hate Windows 98 performance because it's so slow and need reboot for any changes made in the system. Luckily we manage to finish all the jobs though it takes us until evening to done it. That's all for today's activity. Adios.

P/S: Happy Sabbath and have a blessed night to all my SDA's friend.

Thursday, September 10, 2009

48th Day

Another bored day in Srikom. Though we (Kristy doesn't join both me and Jack as she went somewhere with someone which i don't know) went outside for a while in the morning to LJS to fixed the network printer but we stay in the office from noon until we went home. Gosh, that evening is really bored and there's nothing else we can do other than playing Facebook. Supposedly we have to go to Desa Lok Kawi to continue our works but since Kok are not around and there is not enough time to finish the job there since it's late in the noon when we were asked to go, the plan is cancel. Maybe we will back there tomorrow but who knows what will happen. We just have to wait and see.

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

47th Day

Today the three of us went out together for the first time after quite a long time where either only both me and Jack or Kristy herself follow the staff. Today we follow Edward and Kok to Desa Lok Kawi to settle some network problem or so what they say reported by them. It seems that they having a problem with the system and it takes a long time than usual to access record. So, we try to change the switch and restart the server itself but still the same problem persists. After a thorough check, it turns out the server is infected by a virus and that's maybe the possible reason of why the system is slower to access. But the works is not done yet in there and there's possibility that we will back there tomorrow. But we will see. That's all for today's activity. Adios.

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

46th Day

Gosh. Do you guys realized how hot is it during the night this past few days? Well, at least for me. It's really damn hot. My forehead is full with sweat at night and i have to wash my face like every hour because it's felt sticky and oily. How nice is it if my house have air-cond. >.<

Well, i actually don't even have to post for today's activity as it's absolutely nothing or whatsoever activity we do. Came in to the office and sit in the chair doing internet surfing until evening. That's all. *Sigh* I wonder what waiting for us tomorrow.

Monday, September 7, 2009

45th Day

Another day out again for both me and Jack today. Edward bring both me and Jack and also Kosmas to Bank Negara to help him to do PC maintenance in there. Quite a bored activity but very enjoying day. Why? Well, due to several reasons, i'm decided not to explain the details but a hint would help, we ended in CP at the end of the day since there's no one can fetch us back earlier (remember the incident last Friday, Srikom is lack of transport). But we do get some input when we were in Bank Negara from one the staff. She help and give us some advice about our future decision and it's really open both our mind. That's all i can say for today's report. Adios.

P/S: I broke my own personal record today and now it stands with 110 point. Yeah.

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Thank God, I'm still alive.

Yo. I just came back from Church after hearing a very interesting topic preach by Pastor Di Viera from Philippines. It's really worth to spent my sunday night attending this preach. Now, back to the main story.

Have you guys ever been in a small boat with a small engine and use it to go to the sea? Well, i am for the first time today. It's really a nice experience until the moment when the engine fails to start in the middle of the sea. That is really a turnout event for anyone ESPECIALLY for those who are first time been in boat. Though i'm wearing a life jacket as you can see in the picture but the nerves really scared me out. Seriously, if you guys plan to be in a boat, make sure the boat is big and at least you know how to float just in case if the boat turned upside down because of the sea wave. Luckily, Uncle John bring along the paddle and we take around almost an hour paddling back to the tiny harbour. It's really-really scary to paddle a boat with that size in the middle of the sea when the waves are somehow are strong enough to turn over the boat. >.< Thank God, i'm still alive.

Friday, September 4, 2009

44th Day

I always love friday because not only it's the end of the five days works but also tomorrow is Sabbath Day.
There's nothing much to report for today's activity though both me and Jack follow Kenny to DBKK again while Kristy stay in the office the whole day since she is so passionate to play with the Firebox. As usual, the same thing we do again and again in there which is to check the pc authentication and secure the port. It seems that the problem is like a never ending circulation in there. It may looks fine today, tomorrow and the next day but it may got problem the day after. But still it's a good way for me to kill some time. Both me and Jack do enjoy every bit of it since we love to go outside than stay in the office. At the end of the day, we receive a very terrible news where one of Srikom's van is missing. Everybody guess it's been stolen since the key is still in their possession. I wonder how will they manage it nest week since all the van are been used every single day. That's all for today's report. Adios and Happy Sabbath to all my SDA's friends.

41st Day, 42nd Day and 43rd Day

It’s double duty for today’s report. This week activity start on Tuesday as Monday is a public holiday to celebrate Malaysia Independence Day for the 52nd Year. Though it suppose to be a meaningful day for all Malaysian but I wonder why this year celebration seems not to be so grand or at least not for me. Compare to the previous year, it’s very seldom for me to see any car or even building or shop to hang at least one flag. Well, enough for that and let’s get to business. On Tuesday, it’s only me and Jack been around as Kristy extend her holiday to Tuesday. Again like the previous days on last week, we follow Kenny again to DBKK to help him settle some problem in there. Not much I would say because I remember we only secure the port in ground floor which is the Telefonis place and but surprisingly it takes us almost two hours to settle. During the lunch break, the three of us hang out in CP to kill some time or perhaps playing Snooker for exact. ^o^ But believe me, we really enjoying our time in there though I’m not good on it. In the evening, let just say both me and Jack stay in a crowded room full with air cond playing Facebook. Hahaha. And as usual, it’s just not right to end the day every time we went to DBKK by buying some kuih.

P/S : Ada orang kena tipu lagi tu hari. Hahahaha.

Today is finally the day where our supervisor, Prof. Dr. Nanna Suryana Herman visit us at last where he suppose to do that few weeks ago. Surprisingly, while I’m waiting for his message that morning because I thought he couldn’t find Srikom, indeed I’m wrong. Without the three of noticing, he arrive in Srikom at 8.45 am. Then, after a short shake hands session between the four of us. Mr. Chris bring him to his office and have around 40 minutes discussion. Then, the three of us were called in the meeting room and have a short talk with Prof. Nanna. He’s indeed a very nice guy and have low profile in regards of his rank (he’s actually the deputy dean for our faculty) and title. Then, around 10.30 am, he take his move and went out from Srikom to catch his flight to Lahad Datu to visit out another friends which is Qurattun. From there, we were left on our own to do things. Actually that morning, David ask us to try explore a software called Webmin where it’s usually use to monitor the file server. After Prof. Nanna got way, I tried to install the software in the virtual OS but I’m having a problem to transfer the RPM file. So, I stop thinking about it and focus more on the failover DHCP. Then, in the evening. Kok bring Jack went out and left both me and Kristy in the office. Eric suddenly ask us whether we have tried to configure firewall. I remember a bit about it since I’m in charge of firewall services during my workshop 2 back in UTeM. Eric gives us a chance to play with a firewall devices call Firebox and teach us several things about it. I haven’t got chance to test it as I’m still burdened by the failover DHCP task. So, up until this moment. I would say Kristy is the one who know more about Firebox. >.< But still, I’m very frustrated about the failover DHCP as I can’t solve the problem. I would still try to continue for it tomorrow and hope I can find something to solve it.

P/S : Went out from the office a bit late than usual. Gosh, it’s sure looks scary outside at that time.

Updated : This post suppose to be upload last night but since there are problem with the Streamyx line in my house area. So, I have to post it this morning. Damn you Streamyx.

Today : Well, well, well. Today is another full day outing. But not with Kenny, it's Edward. He bring both me and Jack follow him to several places to send invoice and also do some technical part (Kristy stay in the office the whole day and i got no idea of what she doing. My guess would be playing with the Firebox). Our first destination is UMS where we headed to BPA to send invoice. On our way, we pass by the port where MV Doulos stays on their short visit to Sabah. It's been a long time since i last see it few years ago. Well, i think almost all people go in to the ship during their visit to Sabah only to buy books. Back to UMS story. Gosh, that's place is big. It's my first time went inside there and i'm quite surprise with the landscape. It makes me felt sad when i think about my three years back in UTeM where i never actually experience the true university life. Then, after that we headed to Shelley Yap to send back the cpu that been repaired. At there, we were asked to do some technical part such as set the network printer and teach them on how to update anti virus on one of their laptop. Also, we have to take back another UPS in there as it's having a problem with it's battery. That's how both me and Jack ends our day. Not a bad way to kill some time isn't it Jack? ^o^

P/S: This weeks felt faster for me and tomorrow is already Friday. Yeah.

40th Day

Happy Sabbath to all my SDA's friend out there. Be sure to go church tomorrow. Hehehe.
What is it about DBKK that i love so much this past few days? If i put in caption, it would probably look like this (DBKK, saya dgn kuih), hahaha. The morning start with both me and Jack stay in the office up until the afternoon where Kristy follow Benny to somewhere which i don't know the place is. During that time, i'm trying my very best to solve the failover DHCP but i still couldn't find the right way to configure the dhcpd.conf file though the server time synchronization is already settle. Which part i'm doing wrong? Left that apart, as soon as Kenny asked both me and Jack to follow him back to DBKK, we straightly said "Come on..". Then, both of us follow him to DBKK where again Kristy follow Ah Kok to the same place she went that morning which i still didn't know where the place is. Nothing much happen in DBKK as we try to check and fixed some port at the ground floor and also some pc that need to be checked. Then, while waiting for Benny taking us back. As always as it seems, me and Jack went to the bazaar near DBKK to buy kuih. Not a bad way to finish a day isn't it. Hehehe.

P/S: Wonder what will i do for this next three days?

39th Day

Another full day again in DBKK today. Not much left to do in there as we only secure some port that we haven't secure before. Also, we try to fixed the switch that we change in the fifth floor before because it can't reach the Radius server. That's all i can report for today's activity. Adios.

P/S: Our supervisor can't make the visit this week because he got something important to attend to this weekends. Hopefully, he can make it next week. Also, the failover DHCP still is on hold and hopefull we got time to test it tomorrow.

38th Day

Since our works officially finish in DBKK. So, we were back again to our old life in the office. But luckily, we have "little" bit something to do. The failover DHCP that Johnathan do the other day is having a problem and doesn't work well with the primary where it suppose to be. David told us that every time the primary and the secondary DHCP server were both active, somehow the secondary server become the primary server and the primary are not leasing any address. That's the whole point that we must overcome. Still trying to figure on how to fixed the problem when suddenly in the late evening, David and Kenny bring both me and Kristy to STAR to check the Wireless AP distance coverage. Looks fun isn't it but you guys want to know what actually the sole purpose I've been there. Only to put the AP in the garden while it's still raining and take care of it when Kristy and Kenny went to each floor in the hotel to check the wireless coverage. Gosh, my attire really not suited me for the works because I'm that formal. Even some of the tourist there mislabeled me as the workers. Tomorrow is a another day will come and another mystery waiting for us.

P/S: Wonder if our supervisor really will came tomorrow evening?

37th Day

Huaaa. I'm so sleepy right now. Today is a full day again in DBKK. But the positive thing is, our job in there regarding about the VLAN is finally finish. Well, for the moment. Who knows if suddenly the network misbehave again. Tomorrow we can finally prepare for our supervisor visit this coming friday if it's all follow to the plan.

P/S: Today, i went out a bit early from the office which is 5.25 pm to follow my mum to greet my aunts that just came back from UK and also my uncle whom i didn't meet for few years. But the funny thing happen is when my uncle see me. "Bruce. What happen to you? Do you eat a lot of rice. You expanded.." Hahaha. That is quite embarrassing moment when he say the word "expanded". I really need to diet or something. ^O^

36th Day

Another new week have to face and i become more and more lazy. Maybe because this week is the school holiday for the 2nd term break and honestly saying, i'm quite envious with my younger sisters and my mum (my mum works as a kindergarten teacher). Gosh. I don't even remember when is the last time i have a nice and long sleep.
Ok, cut the story short and let's get to business. Today is another full day in DBKK. Still doing the same thing as the previous days which is to configure the VLAN on each floor. Luckily we manage to complete the 5th and also the 2nd Floor. Tomorrow we will visit DBKK again to complete the VLAN on the first floor and hopefully we will not have any difficulty. That's all for today's report. Adios

P/S: I'm watching the repeat of Miss Universe 2009 right now. All the girls are damn beautiful and hot. Not to mention with the bright brain also. Hehe. Get to go now. Cant't miss any second of it. \^o^/

35th Day

Another full day again in DBKK. Still doing our best to complete the VLAN configuration but as we expected, the four of us still can't finish the task this week. At least we successfully sweep all the VLAN configuration in the ground floor and left with the first floor (not sure with the second and third floor). It looks very positive that we will back there again this coming weeks to complete the task. We will just have to wait and see.

P/S: Happy Sabbath to all my SDA's friend out there and may God bless all of you.

34th Day

What a day it is. Went to Papar in the morning and straightly went back to DBKK in the evening. Edward at first plans to bring me and Jack follow him to JPSM in Papar to repair few complaints pc. But of course we still have to help Kenny with his works in DBKK which due this weeks. After little discussion, then Edward decided to bring me and let Jack and Kristy follow Kenny. After send Kenny, Jack and Kristy to DBKK and take one of the guys from Polytechnic KK (I forgot his name, something like Aldinol or sort of), then we headed to JPSM in Papar. Upon reach there, we straightly went to the computer lab and try to fix the pc. It seems that there are three pc which have problem with the display. After few thing has been done; wipe the RAM, reset the CMOS, pull out the jumper, we finally manage to fix the problem. Well, it is not totally sightseeing in Papar at all; I do learn something about technical part today which is jumper. Before this, I don’t even know what is jumper, what it looks like and its use. It’s actually for security purposes. Then, after having our lunch in the Papar town, we headed back to KK around 2 pm. Edward decided to sent me back to DBKK to help Kenny after I explain what actually we been doing there. Edward thought that the three of us only watching Kenny doing his works and only stay in the server room and that is the reason of why he bring one of us to Papar today which is me. Then, around 3.30 pm we reunite again in DBKK. It seems that there are still problem with the VLAN especially after we secure the port. It’s pretty convincing that we will have to go there again tomorrow to fix it. As usual, I don’t want to be so optimistic about it and I just have to wait and see. That’s all for today’s report. Adios.
P/S: JPSM is really a weird place. Few things I notice in there that make me quite surprise is all the students seems have to bring their own glass, spoon and plate to the cafeteria when they want to eat. Also, each of the students stays in the same table in the lectures room as I can see each table got the student’s name tag on the table and each table are wrapped with the plastic cover and well decorated. But one thing for sure, the girls there are quite cute and hot. Believe me, it is true. Hahaha.

33th Day

Well, well, well. It’s another full day again in DBKK. Still doing the same thing that we do like the last time we visit there (though I’m the one who less went there compare to Jack and Kristy) which is to complete the VLAN configuration. This time we got date line which is this Friday. Today, Eric joins us for a while to help the four of us including Kenny to check out on the progress and it seems we have done the wrong way, well not actually the wrong I would say but not the right way. Instead of untagged all the port connected to the pc, Eric told us to just simply straightly secure the port. So, the sequence would be like this, tagged the uplink port and secure the port. Looks simple isn’t it but it’s quite harder than it looks. Nevertheless, as long as I occupied with something to works on, it’s good enough for me. Looking forward for tomorrow’s activity which I guess will be another full day in DBKK. But I don’t want to be so optimistic about it because who knows maybe only two people will follow Kenny tomorrow and if that happen, I’m pretty sure I’m not on the list. That’s all for today’s report. Adios.

32th Day

Hmm. What am I suppose to write for today’s activity? There’s nothing much to report as it’s almost identical to yesterday activity where both me and Jack follow Edward went out for the second straight day while Kristy follow Kenny and Laura went to DBKK which I think is very productive day for her. Instead of sending invoice like yesterday, today we help Edward to send and take some stuff from the customer site and one particular stuff that really caught my attention is the Apple Mac pc’s send to the New Sabah Times office. Its looks very flashy with the 24-inch LCD monitor and the metal casing built for CPU. What about the specification? Few significant things that I remember are 64-bit Intel Quad Core processor, 2 NIC, Bluetooth ready and 6 GB of RAM. How about the cost? The LCD monitor itself cost around RM3000+ and the CPU with the staggering cost RM12000+. Well, I think that’s all to say for today’s activity. Adios.

Monday, August 17, 2009

31th Day

Well, well. It’s already the 7th week we in Srikom and yet we still didn’t do any project and at most we have done is only a task given by David. But still, we just have to move forward and follow all the instruction given by him and hoping for the better. There’s nothing much to report for today’s activity as both me and Jack been out with Edward for most of the time until evening to accompany him to send invoice to certain places. There are also few things that need some attention in the office particularly the failover DHCP. Eric asks us to find a way or at least try to find a way on how to sync both the dhcpd file in both servers so that any changes made in the dhcpd file on primary will automatically update on the secondary server. For the backup task, I successfully added or activate the copied virtual machine after a little help from Eric. The next step hopefully will be done for tomorrow activity. That’s all for today’s activity.

30th Day

I love Friday. You guys want to know why. First of all, it’s the end of a miserable five days works though I didn’t work for most of the day. Hahaha. Other reason is because the end of today is the beginning of a Sabbath. \^o^/ And one more reason is, it’s sometimes full with surprises. Today, Kok and Lim bring the three of us to DBKK branch in CP to check the network connection complaint by them. But to my surprise, all the reported PC with the network problem is working fine. It seems that there a small miscommunication between Srikom and DBKK that they fail to inform us earlier. Then, we went back to Srikom at noon though we suppose to go back earlier. Between that, well, let just say it’s full with scoreboard, a lot of ball and a lot sound. Hahaha. In the evening, Laura brings Kristy and Kristy brings Jack back to DBKK. I’m not very sure what actually they are doing there; maybe continue back the unsettled things in there. So, I was left in the office alone again. But this time, I occupied the time I have to continue back the backup task given by David. After a short discussion with David, it seems that I have grasped the wrong theory for the first part. Instead of going to the newly created virtual machine and use scp command to copy the whole content and paste it on another virtual machine, I suppose to use SSH to directly went to the host itself and look for the directory contains the virtual machine and use scp command to copy it and paste it on another virtual host. Though I successfully copy the virtual machine directory and paste it on another host. But I still can’t activate the virtual machine and I thought it will automatically appear after perform the scp command. Even Johnathan can’t solve it. Gosh, have to work harder this coming Monday. That’s all for today’s report.
P/S: Happy Sabbath to all my SDA’s friends out there and may God bless you.

29th Day

I want to share something with you guys today. Have you ever felt that the time from midnight until early morning or if I simplify it in one word which is night sleep felt so short, it’s felt like a blink of an eye. Gosh, I never enjoy my morning wakeup call as I should be like last time during this practical. Maybe because I felt so tired in the office though I didn’t do much physical activity in the office. LOL. Or maybe because I just felt lazy. I wonder why? One more thing, I realized I don’t have that much time to do my usual activity such as playing games or even watching anime, it’s not that I didn’t have time at all but it just seems the time passes by so fast in home rather than in office which I wishes every single day from last 5 weeks ago. Well anyway, I just need to move forward and looks at the brighter side.
Now, for today’s activity, there’s not much thing happen. The only significant things that happen today is we send our log book to David at last for signing which we suppose to send it every week. Another thing is we officially start the backup task today. Just in case if I forgot, I will detailed the step in here. Started by backup the snapshot file from primary server and merge it to the secondary server. Then, activate the snapshot file in the secondary server. It looks easy as you thought it could be. But it’s quite tricky. Firstly, we have to copy the whole hard disk content from primary to the secondary server using SCP or secure copy command which I never use or even heard before. Then, we must make sure three things which is IP, disk space and the account username, password. After that, perform the snapshot. The next step I don’t really sure whether I’m correct or not, I will just detailed it based on today’s explanation. There are five important file that we must take notice which is .vmdk, .-flat which is the actual data, .vmx , .vmsd which is the snapshot file and .cmfx which is the descriptor for .vmx. The last step is to perform this entire step automatically. Sounds easy? Well, at least not for me.
That’s all for today’s report.

28th Day

Hais. There’s nothing to report for today’s activity. It’s just plain bored and unproductive day. The only significance things that I remember I do today are teaching some unknown guys with Kristy on how to how to create database, table and configure the relationship between the tables. The rest of it is just meaningless activity which is online surfing. I wonder what waiting for us tomorrow.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

27th Day

We back again on the normal office life which is full with boredness and unproductive day. Well at least for the three of us, not exactly the three of us I would probably say because Kristy do went out in the evening join Laura to DBKK to settle back the things we do yesterday and left myself and Jack in the office. Though we do been introduced a software called HP Blade System Onboard Administrator that can remotely control the HP server, HP computer and even HP related network devices by David that morning. Plus a little talk that I forgot the contents. But afterwards, we just sit there doing almost nothing other than online surfing. Regarding about the backup task, we still didn’t have any idea on how to start the task. Hopefully we have something better to do for tomorrow.

Monday, August 10, 2009

26th Day

What a day. It’s another full day again in DBKK. Straightly past 9 am, Kenny brings the three of us back to DBKK to settle our jobs which was incomplete last Friday. We went back to the ground floor to take all the IP address and change the authentication properties and then tagged the switches and also untagged the entire computer on its own VLAN. At the same time, we still do a minor task asked by the staff such as fixed the connection to the virtual printer and even help them change the wallpaper. It’s quite an enjoying day and honestly I didn’t even realize the time passed by so fast. The best thing is, i even have chance to play Tekken at arcade game centre near Milimewa during lunch (jgn mengular selalu time keja, x bagus..kadang2 ok. haha). But still, we didn’t manage to complete the job and most likely will headed there again. I wonder what other activity waiting for us for tomorrow.

P/S: I'm quite happy with the activity that I have done this past few days. Not only it's related to network, we also were given chance to do it by ourselves. Hopefully, we will have more activity like this for the next coming days.

Bitter Sweet Weekends

What a weekend. For second straight week, I can’t go to church because of unexpected activity. Yesterday, Mr. Chris held a workshop for half day in the office. It’s a short workshop about leadership, communication and all sorts of things. It’s kind of bored but it’s not a bad thing either. Then, shortly after the workshop finish, I accompany Jack headed to Karamunsing as he got something to buy in there. For myself, well because of the amount of money I spent just recently to upgrade my computer, so I left with a small amount of money to spent with (the rest of it are kept for my driving license). Then, that night I went out again with my friends to watch movie. Gosh, G.I. Joe is one of the best movies I watch this year, totally on my top five movie list I watched.

How about today? I continue back on the pursue for my driving license as I attend the workshop today. 3 hours theory and 3 hours driving (well, not exactly 3 hours). It’s been almost 2 years I didn’t drive and for sure I lack a bit of skill there and here. But of course, if it just the normal driving, I think I’m not that rusty. But it's fun to watch another student who have just learned to drive a car (actually, i'm not alone just now, got another girls who also choose my tutor as her prerable tutor. Then, when it comes for her turns to drive and i went back to the back seat, it's quite hilarious to watch her been scolded. But i forgive her since she's kind of cute on my terms. But sadly, i don't have much chance to talk more with her. The only moments that i could remember that we exchanging words between both of us is when we rest for a while before we went sent home. She asks me how i know to drive, then i just show her my L license back in Malacca to cut the story short. I heard her hissing to herself the word "oo..87" when she looks at that license. I wonder what could that mean, is it means i'm looks older than my age or the opposite way. Then on the way back home, based on the conversation her and my tutor, she seems will be taking driving class on the weekdays. At that point, my heart says "damn u Industrial Training..i hate u" because i can only take my driving class on sunday. Don't get me wrong here, though i sounds like i'm desperate looking for a girls, but actually i just want to brush up my communication skills with girls. I take action based on the what Mr. Chris says on his workshop about communication. Hahaha. See how concentrate i am yesterday. Honestly, I am a good talker with the boys but when it comes to the girls, maybe a bit different. Some girls may notice i react differ with the other girls and vice versa. That's the part i want brush up. I need to be friend more with different girls with different personality. That's the whole point. Hehehe)

Though it seems my weeks is quite a mixed fun activity but there's also a sad things happen. I just got the news that my cousins daughter have passed away last Saturday night after been in SMC for a week last week. It's very sad to see when a 5 years old girls passed away because of internal bleeding in the brain, i felt sorry to my cousins. I hope she be strong.

That’s how my weekend was spent.

Update : The funeral will be held this morning at Kota Marudu on 8 am but since there's not enough transport to go there, so i can't attend the funeral. I can only pray to God so that her soul may rest in peace and give strength to her mom, my cousins. Amen.

25th Day

Happy Sabbath to all my SDA's friend out there. So sad can't go to church tomorrow T.T

Here we go again. Today I follow Kenny with Jack and Kristy to DBKK to help them settle the things they do yesterday. How I’m gonna explain the activity that we do? Hmm. It’s something like we secure the network by grouping them to their own VLAN. Activity involved are going to each PC in each floor and change the properties for authentication in LAN settings and take the IP address and the tag face plate. Then go back to the server room and untagged all the pc to their own VLAN and also tagged the port between the switches involved. Not a bad way to spend the day though it’s still a bit bored. Ain't it?
P/S: Just came back from PC fair in Sabah Trade Centre few minutes ago. I don’t recommend anyone to go there if you are short in money. How can they call that a PC Fair if the stuff they sell are still damn expensive compare to the market price. It’s better to visit Karamunsing and buy all IT related stuff over there.

Thursday, August 6, 2009

24th Day

Gosh, it’s the first time I’m alone in the office without Jack and Kristy. In case you guys wondering, both of them follow Kenny to DBKK to do some works which I didn’t know the details. So, I was left there doing nothing. There are some short conversations with David like usual. Today he talks more about multimedia, stuff like virtual reality and animation. For example, 2 and half D (2.5 D) refer to where the background is 2D but the object is 3D. Then, he talks about clustering where there are two types of clustering which is vertical and horizontal. After the conversation finish up to this moment where I posted this post, it’s really like waiting for the chicken egg to hatch kind of situation. Its plain bored. Sometimes I do go to the staff office back there to disturb them just to kill some time. I wonder how Johnathan can stay in the office like that. I even have time to observe all kind of sounds in the office. I can hear the Photostat machine, someone stapler the paper, the sound of key stroke coming from the keyboard, sound of keystroke coming from old typing machine, sound coming from speaker where it plays the online radio, phones ringing, the staff gossiping, the sound of the air coming from the air ventilator, sound coming from the CPU, sound of someone spitting in the toilet, sound from the toilet flush, sound coming from the pipe where the water pour down and even the sound of sigh from some of the staff. You guys judge it by yourself the level of boredness I’m experiencing today.

P/S: Is this how it feels working in the office?

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

23rd Day

Again, we were left nothing to do for today’s activity. So, better than sitting in the office doing nothing other than online, I continue my work from yesterday to complete the log book which I suppose to done everyday starting one month ago. While I’m busy doing it, suddenly David start to talk to us about fabric (I didn’t know that stuff and never heard that particular terms in network). It’s something (not sure about this) like OS for the intelligence switch. Then, David continues to talk about phone business or something like that (seriously, I lost almost 90% of the conversation). Later that evening, David asks us (Kristy went out to DBKK follow Kenny and Laura) to implement the failover DHCP inside Srikom network (don’t get me wrong, I’m not the one who do all the works, its Johnathan. But, I also involved a little bit during this activity). After few tries, at last the failover DHCP is running successfully. That’s how our day’s end. Hopefully we got something better to do for tomorrow.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

22nd Day

We successfully built the failover DHCP with the help from Johnathan. Johnathan found out the reason of why the failover DHCP are not leasing any IP address from yesterday works. It’s actually because both primary and the secondary DHCP server which will acts the failover DHCP must be sync in terms of time stamp. Quite happy with it though we didn’t do much of it as Johnathan is the one who do most of the works. Later that evening, both I and Jack follow Edward to do some errands. The first place we went is Sabah Credit where we sent the CPU and LCD monitor together with Kosmas, Chris and Benny. Gosh, we actually have to carry the first 4 monitor by hand using the stairs up to the 3rd floor because of the lift problem. Luckily, the lift is starting to work again after a little while, and then we send the entire CPU and LCD monitor to the 3rd floor. Then, we follow Edward to several places to send invoice and also taken four CPU, keyboard and mouse from STAR. After that, we went back to Srikom and end our days by going home.
P/S: Ada orang kena tipu semalam. Hahahaha.

Monday, August 3, 2009

21st Day

It’s been a month since we start our practical in Srikom. Our relationship is getting closer with most of the staff in there. But still, there’s one thing that I still not satisfied, we haven’t been given any works that focuses more on network. Today my prayer was answer, a word that I heard a lot during my PSM works, DHCP. David asks us to create a failover DHCP (I don’t do any research about this before, so it’s a new thing for me. Plus, I don’t implement DHCP in Linux) using the VMWare machine. For testing purposes, we create the failover DHCP inside the virtual network first. So, to cut story short, we spent almost the whole day thinking on how to built a failover DHCP (well, “almost” as most of the time we just play around play with FB. hahaha) with the help of Johnathan.
P/S: The new task given hasn’t completed and hopefully will be solve tomorrow.

Japanese food + The Proposal = Great Day

Japanese foods never stop to amuse me and the thrill of swallowing is just the gear needed to make me eat one today. At the same time, I fulfill the promise between me and my close friend, John to sit together eats Japanese food. We visit the only Japanese restaurant that we know in KK which in Palm Square, Centre Point. Been a long time I visit such restaurant because the last time I went is on 2008 at Sushi King, Melaka. One thing I realize, the sushi in this restaurant is far more expensive compare to Sushi King.

After enjoying the meal and paying RM70 for the food (gosh, the price is seriously surprise me), we headed straight to Growball to watch “The Proposal” which we book the ticket earlier. My verdict for the movie? Well, I strongly suggest to all people out there especially who love to watch romance comedy to watch this movie as I can guarantee you guys, it will not make you disappointed at all. It’s that good to the point that it makes your cry when you are laughing. At the end of the day, I really enjoy my Sunday for this weeks.

Saturday, August 1, 2009

\^o^/

PASS! 47 out of 50. YEAH. I improve my computer test result from 43 back in Melaka to 47 in here. Seems that being in home rather that away is giving your more luck.
The first hurdle is now complete.

20th Day

See. Again what I’ve told you guys in my post two days earlier. Only once in a blue moon we actually were bring out or been given a real works. Today’s activity is exactly the opposite of the activity I’ve done yesterday, well at least for me. If yesterday I’ve been in the office for less than two hours, today I just sat in the office doing absolutely nothing for the whole day. Maybe you guys felt bored reading this post as the contents is almost the same with most of the previous post. But I must keep my promise to post our activity during the whole practical for everyday to keep track of what I’ve been doing. Last but not least, wish me luck for my computer test tomorrow. 42 to 50 is the only number I needed. \^o^/
P/S: Happy Sabbath to all my SDA’s friend out there.

19th Day

See? What I’ve told you guys. Suddenly, out of nowhere I’ve been bring out until late evening today. After been in the office for around 1 hour plus, Edward bring me to follow Kenny with one of the new trainee (I think his name was Chris or something) to MRSM. Never been there before since it’s quite far and I don’t recall any of my close friends or cousins’ study there. After a short visit to SESB to sent monitor, the four of us take around half an hour journey to MRSM. After arrive there, we straightly went to the server room. After a short explanation by one of the teacher there, we go to work. It seems that there are event in MRSM that gather most of the school director from Sabah and Sarawak for the coming two weeks. So, the particular teacher in charge of the IT management ask us to check the internet connection because it seems that some of the director complaint about it and also ask us to allow the pc to connect to the printer in each of the computer lab. Not so many complicated things we done in here but still it takes us until two pm to finish the task. Then, after having our late lunch in Putatan. We headed back to Srikom and to take Laura to DBKK. To my surprise, again the two of us were bring along with them since Edward said that we have nothing to do either inside the office. Upon our arrival, we headed straight to the server room to check the problem report by one of the workers there in charge of the server room. Seems that the intranet in CP branch is unable to connect the domain in DBKK and also one of the agent cannot connect to the server (I seriously confuse with the second problem as I don’t understand with Kenny explanation). So, while Laura and Kenny try their best to solve the problem though they failed, I and Edward just sit outside and have a chat (it’s not that I don’t try to help but I really don’t know about it and plus there two of them in there, so I thought I just left them be. But still by watching them also makes me confuse of what they actually doing). Who would thought 33-years old Edward is big fan of Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. Even better, Kenny was also a big fan of anime. Hahaha, what a small world it is for anime fans. I never thought that I will meet one in here. There’s plenty of personal stuff we talked also that I want to share but I thought its maybe out of topic for this post. Around 6 pm, we headed back to Srikom after numbers of try done by Laura and Kenny failed. At the end of the day, though I don’t learn new things but still it enough to answer my complaint for yesterday post. (^o^)
P/S : Pity for Jack and Kristy, I think it’s more better if both of them can join along but it’s out of my jurisdiction.

18th Day

Gosh. It’s been quite a terrible week for us. I thought when it’s already reach the fourth week, we will suppose to become a bit busy and already learn something new related to our field. But my prediction is wrong. Yeah, we do have task given by our supervisor but we didn’t have any clue on how to start. To make things worse, our supervisor seems very busy and preoccupied. So, we sat in the office doing absolutely nothing other than playing with Facebook or chatting. Sometimes when boringness is getting to your nerved, it’s just killing your mood to play around. Once in a blue moon, we will be taken outside to do field work. Not exactly field work I would say, an office boy works. But sometimes it better than just sit on the same chair and facing your laptop for hours. Plus, I become more annoyed with the new trainee (the trainee from Polytechnic Kuching is more behave than the trainee from the Polytechnic KK) from Polytechnic KK. It just wants to make me punch and give each of them a pedigree. Well, that’s all I can say for today’s post. I’m hoping for a better tomorrow.

17th Day

Seventeen, what’s so special about this number. It’s the year that marks my final year in secondary school. There are so many memorable things happen that year since all of my ex-classmate are parting way and take their own route for their better future.
Well, enough with the prologue and let’s go straight to the point. Hello once again to all my blogger reader (if only I have one though I think no one interested to read it). We meet again on the 17th day report. Not much happen today as it’s again another unproductive day for the three of us. I came around 7.40 am and later followed by Jack and Kristy in sequence. Well, I do go out for a while follow Edward acts as an office boy to certain places to send the invoice until afternoon. That evening is again filled with boringness and sleepiness as we try to make ourselves occupied to let the time sweep by. I decided to post today’s post early as I got nothing else better to do. Till we meet again for tomorrow’s post.
Adios.

16th Day

Hello everyone. We meet again on the 16th day report. I will make it short and brief for today’s post as I got VERY important family discussion to attend with. To be more precise, it’s a family matter regarding my aunty. I will not discuss it here since it’s a bit, how I’m gonna say it here.. it’s just explainable.
Well, back to the main point. Today, I came the same time with Jack which is 7. 40 am and followed by Kristy. Today we actually achieve something which was we succeed to complete the task given by David. We help and refer to each other but the real credits are to Jack as he perfected it. Now, we can go the second task which is quite challenging compare to the first task which is back up. Todays also mark the day that another six trainee from Politeknik KK and Sarawak came. I don’t care a hell about them especially the three guys from Politeknik KK. Oh yeah, the six of them are guys. Later that evening, we went back around 5.34 pm.
That’s all for today’s report.
P/S: It’s always hard to solve when it comes to family matter. I felt so powerless because I can’t give any help at all.

Caption! Caption! Caption!

What caption should I put for this weekend’s post? I don’t have any idea. For starter, there’s nothing special or unique activity I done this weekend. It’s so plain and bored. Jack on the other hand went to Ranau with his friends, Kristy went back to her hometown in Tambunan and even Alechia post on facebook that she enjoy this weekends. Sigh. As usual, half day on Saturday was spent in the church and the evening session is just filled with a long nap. But there’s something I want to share with you guys this time. Usually, I get use to be alone in Likas church since I don’t have many friends on the first hand. But that day, there’s one girl sit in front of me and her looks just caught my eyes attention. A petite girl with beautiful smile I would best describe her. And the best thing about her is she’s alone. I thought maybe I can get her to talk with me since I’m slowly overpowered by the sleepiness. Seriously, sometimes I think it’s best to have friends with you wherever you are because it’s just felt more relaxing. Back to the story, I’m thinking on how actually I’m gonna open a conversation with her. But I just don’t have any idea or guts to do that. =,=” Well, to cut the story short, there’s nothing happen. I just felt that I’m really coward when it comes to this skill. T.T
After the light from the moon slowly disappear and the beam from the sun soon getting hotter, Saturday is soon replaced by Sunday. YEAH! Why wouldn’t anyone felt happy ain’t it? It’s Sunday, it’s suppose to be the day where we relax in the house watching television or maybe go hang out with friends. As for myself? I attend the most bored part in the driving class which is the KPP class. Actually, I’m already a proud holder of L license. But because of some complicity back in Melaka, I quit half way. So, I start back from scratch here in my hometown and hope I can finish it before December.
P/S: For anyone who still didn’t notice yet, Malaysia already print out the new design for the RM50 notes. I just notice it when I withdraw money a while ago. It almost resemble the Brunei look alike money note.

15th Day

Hello everyone. We meet again on the 15th days report. First of all, Happy Sabbath to all my SDA’s friend out there. Well, not much happen today as compare to the previous two days. Kristy still the first one to came and followed by me around 7.40 am and Jack later. Today, at last both me and Jack can stay in the office and try to help Kristy to complete the task given by David. Though there’s not much progress in the morning but at least we still try our best. Oh, I forgot. Kristy actually the one who went out today follow Cornelius and Simon to do the fiber cable at STAR (I forgot the word S stands for what, but the TAR stands for Tanjung Aru Resort) As usual, straight after lunch. Both me and Jack play CS to kill some time during the lunch hour which is until 1.30 pm. Hahaha. Today we play at different map which is assault and I perform very well today (baru ko tau Kok, ko tembirang lagi sama la..kakaka). Later that evening, Kok bring me to Magellan at Sutera Harbour Resort to fix the cable in the face plate. Seems the cable is not giving any connection at all. After few changes and fix in the patch panel in the server room, at last the problem solves. Then we headed back to the company around 4 pm and from there I try to solve again the task. Can’t say much for now, but seems that we almost complete the task as we succeed to run the query simultaneously. We will try to edit and try error for it again this Monday. We then went back around 5.37 pm and thinking what should we do for these weekends.
P/S: Hais c Kok. Memang jajal ba ne orang tua. Antara suma orang yang sa join, dia lah yang paling siok mau ikut. Ketawa ja ikut dia ne. Tekan hon bila nampak perempuan d siring jalan raya. P office sana Sutera Harbour pun cakap pasal perempuan di sana. Bole2 lagi dia bawa sa escape p makan sekijap lepas p repair tadi. Paling kurang asam, dia panggil sa Gobuk. Nick name yang sa guna ja pn time main CS tu. Dia x puas hati ba tu balik2 kena tembak oleh sa. Hahaha.

14th Day

Sigh- what a day. For two straight days, I went out until late evening. Seems this weeks, I went out a lot than usual. But by far, today’s activity is more to sightseeing. Honestly speaking, I only follow the staff to the customer site either to send stuff or invoice.
Hello again everyone. We meet again on the 14th days report. Again for second straight day, Kristy is the first one to come. On the other hand, I come around 7.35 am and Jack came few minutes later. After couple of minutes surfing and try to complete the task given by David. Both me and Jack were bring out again. Jack follows Lim to DBKK to check the cable that we do yesterday because it seems the cable got problem. Myself follow Benny to send invoice and some other few stuff. Kind of bored actually because the only purposes of Ben bringing me is to take care of the van when he went to customer site for a while. The only interesting part is when we went the house one of the customer (from what Ben told me, this old guy is a retired lawyer and once was a big boss in somewhere which I forgot the place name). His computer seems got problem with few of the software inside. Note that these desktops were just performed the recover utility yesterday. Seems that the OS cannot boot and that is why the recover utility was used. But still, today the OS again were going nuts. Imagine this, this desktop is virus and hardware problem free. There’s no bad sector in the hard disk and even come with UPS. BUT, the word can’t be save, search utility gone, windows media player crash and the HP scan software are not working. And the old guy keeps asking both of us on why this happen. How actually we gonna explain to him in a way that keeps him satisfied? At last, we simply just say that the system is corrupted and need a fresh OS installation. In concept, we can actually say like this -> Imagine a car. Though you take good care of it and even make overhaul on it every 5K km the car been use. Sometimes the car still can have problem and that is how the system works. It will if not now or later.
Than we headed back to Srikom at noon after take back Jack and Lim in DBKK. Today’s kill for CS is improved. Hahaha. But still not good enough.
Later that evening, Jack and myself were again bring out. This time Jack follows Ben and I follow Edward@Tom. Not so sure where Jack headed with Ben but me and Edward went to Rasa Ria and Karambunai Resort. No interesting things happen but full with interesting talks with Edward. Seems that the staff bring us out not particularly because short on staff but actually been asked by Mr.Chris. BUT there’s one thing really worried me, Edward says to me that one of the reason why usually only me and Jack were bring out because many of the task involved are not that suitable for Kristy to do. SO, for non-technical part like configure will usually be given to Kristy. It’s not a question about jealousy or something but it will affect me and Jack in terms of knowledge and skill learned. I hope that next time the three of us will have a chance to learn the network based skill.
P/S: Again I went back late today which is 5.45 pm and also the three of us were separated again today.

13th Day

Hello again. We meet again on the 13th day report. Honestly speaking, it’s kind of lazy lately for me to post a blog since I felt tired every time I reach home from work. Sometimes, I don’t even have any idea how to post it as such that I have to think what to write. But I cross my finger to my heart, hissing to my inner self and say “keep it up Bruce, this blog will help you for your log book later”.
Well, enough for the prologue (just felt to start writing my blog in different way as it seems my previous blog is just like a template blog. Haha). Today, surprisingly Kristy is the first one came between the three of us though I came only few minutes late than her which is around 7.50 am and follow by Jack later. Today, as planned on last Monday. Lim bring me and Jack back to DBKK to install a patch panel. We went there by the time the eclipse happen which is around 9 am (though it seems we missed it but from the local news report on television, only certain place can actually see the full eclipse and Malaysia are not one of it. But still, I’ve managed to watch it for a while using a film negative. Surprisingly, this eclipse is reported to be the longest eclipse for this millennium). After went to take the patch panel from other place in the building, we headed straight to the 3rd level to install it. Lim want to put another patch panel inside the small built like server rack and need our help since it takes time to complete it alone. Kind of hard to explain the step to attach the cable to the patch panel but one thing for sure, it’s pain in the ass for your hand. Believe me, I know. To make things harder, we use the cat 6 UTP cable which is again a pain in the ass to cut it using a non-sharp playar (sorry for the wrong spelling because I didn’t know how to spell it in English). Compare to our last task in DBKK, we can’t finish it in one way. Around 12 noon, we headed back to the company to have our lunch and at the same time take some more things. OH YEAH, remember the task given by David? Seems that Kristy found a way to complete the second part though it’s not complete yet. As usual, Kristy is one step ahead of us, gosh that girl is really something. I really felt intimidated with her. Again, I loss badly on today’s CS game. =,=” Later that evening, we went back there with Kristy and Johnathan joining us this time (felt very sorry to Johnathan because I accidentally bump the van back door to his shoulder when I want to close it after taking all the stuff outside). BUT, this time the three of us are separated for the FIRST time. Jack follow Edward go somewhere, Kristy follow Kevin and I follow Lim to complete the task. There’s nothing much to say in this moment since I just redo all the things Lim taught me this morning. Gosh, it’s really not an easy task to install the patch panel and arrange the cable inside the rack (Don’t get me wrong. If I convert my contribution on percentage, I think I only do around 30-40% of it. The rest is done by Lim particularly the cable arrangement). While my hand busy cutting the cable and attach it to the patch panel, Kristy on the other hand learns on how to configure VLAN using the HP ProCurve Switch and some other things. I will say I’m lied if I don’t felt slightly envious the thing she do because that’s the real deal for our field. I’m not saying that the thing I do in DBKK is useless, in fact it’s a plus. But I still have many weeks waiting for me; I will take it slowly from here. Wondering what kind of activity I will do tomorrow, will it be plain and bored day or again another more surprise waiting? I just have to se and wait for tomorrow.
P/S: I went back on 6.34 PM today. Paling lambat la pulang ne. Hahaha.

12th Day

Hello everyone. We meet again on the 12th day report. As usual, it’s another day fill either with surprise or total plain day. I reach office around 7.50 am and by my surprise, Jack is the first one came today. Then Kristy is the last one came. We then start our typical day with usual morning activity which is faceboo ing and chat. Then, around 9 or 10 am, Cornelius asked for our help to tag the cable. It’s actually not a bad idea to kill some time since we got nothing else to do. Well, not actually nothing at all. Still remember the task given by David? We still can’t figure out a way to solve the second part. It’s already been a week the task is unsolved and we just cannot find any reference in Google. Later that evening, again David asked us about the task. It seems that he really needs that program to test the system. It just made us more desperate to solve it as soon as possible. Well, to make our task more challenging as it is, we have new task waiting for us. It’s about back up. Not the normals backup your guys thinking about, it’s different. Can’t say much for now since I don’t get it 100% when David explains it to us, we just have to wait and see. Around 5.34 pm, all of us heading back to our home. That’s all for today’s report. See you guys back tomorrow.
P/S : I take back my word yesterday about CS. It seems that the staffs really play CS during lunch. And to my surprise, some of them are actually VERY good. I’m just so rusty with this game. Only managed to kill one and died more than 15 times. Hahaha.

11th Day

Hello everyone. We meet again on the 11th day report. Today I’m a bit tired than usual as its more physical day for me or perhaps us I should say. Ain’t it Jack?
So, sa malas ckit mau post blog ne hari dalam English. Mari kita try post dalam bahasa Malaysia. Sa datang awal ne hari, smp sana lebih kurang jam 7.35 ka. Sa first ba, ko ingat. Hahaha. Uda masuk minggu ke-3, belum pena lagi sa naik bas awal2 pagi p keja. Bukan malas ba, cuma beg pack yg sa guna gumuk kan. D tmpt sa, bas mini yg banyak time pagi..susah mau masuk tu bas dgn tu beg. So, terpaksa la bos atau adik saya yg hantar. Ada keta rosak tayar dia, terus block 2 jalan. Itu ja cerita dia. Ahaha. Lupa cakap, no plat itu kereta 8022. Manatau tiba2 kuar d 4D minggu depan ka. Ndak lama selepas itu, sampai la sa depan Srikom. Lepas terpaksa mau buat signal2 sama 2 pmrpn cina, ndak tau sepa tu..baru dia buka tu pntu depan. Mcm budu ja sa rasa tu time. Kasi pendek cerita, c Kristy sama Jack pn datang. Aktiviti ne hari bukan cakap best lah cuma sa rasa masa mmg cepat limpas la. Ntah berapa lama ja kami duduk sana tu, tiba2 c Nick suru kami join tu staff lain p DBKK buat PM. Pa tu kamurang rasa? Kamurang teka la sendiri nnt aa. Ne kali, kami tiga2 kena bawa. Tapi bila sampai sana, kami dua yg p DBKK. Mula2, kami p sana IT Department p ambil tu buku maintenance. Rupa2 nya, kami kena buat maintenance dgn printer d dalam DBKK. Pena kamurang dgr dot matrik printer? Paling senang la mau kasi faham kamurang, kamurang tau kertas yg ada lubang2 d kiri sama kanan kertas tu? X juga faham? Mcm kertas slip spm kamurang tu ba yg kamurang kasi hilang sebab frust. Hahaha. Tapi at least suma staff sana senyum jga la dgn kami time kami buat tu keja sana, rambut saya yg baru kena putung ba tu yg bikin dorang rasa senang hati tu. Hahaha. Lebih kurang jam 9 ka 10 kami start, jam 1.30 la kami habis suma tu keja. C Lim bawa la kami p makan sana food court d KK Plaza. Time kami makan2 tu la kami kenal banyak nama staff d Srikom. Hbs ja kami makan, kami p balik DBKK tunggu dorang c Edward ambil kami balik. Lebih kurang jam 3 la dorang datang ambil kami. Mengantuk uda sa tu time. C Edward bawa lagi jalan2 p tmpt customer hantar tu buku manual Autocad. Cni teda uda pa2 cerita yg siok la. Tertidur juga kami dua dalam kereta. Penat kan, pa mau buat. Kasi pendek cerita, smp ja d Srikom, main facebook sekejap..oh ya, c Ong (serius sa lupa, “Ok” ka nama dia..) kasi tunjuk sa share file dalam Srikom, dia suru sa install CS dlm laptop sa. Hahaha. Ndak tau la terer ka x dorang ne. Ndak lama pas tu, pulang la kami. 5.36 tu kalo x silap sa. Harap2 jadi la kami kena bawa balik p DBKK buat patch panel ne. Bnyk juga technical skill yg kami x belajar time d UTeM bole belajar d cni.
P/S : Sorry for the ‘very’ informal way for today’s post. Malas mau karang2 ba, sa main hentam ja tulis ne.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Just came back from watching "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince". My, my, what a different it was compare with the previous installment. There's not much of an action pack scene but it's more to the sentimental side which you didn't see much in the previous movie. Hermione attracted to Ron but seems Ron didn't realize it that much. On the other hand, Potter with Ginny. Kinda funny and fun to watch the main character in a romantic scene since Harry Potter themes are not about love on the first hand. But it's so sad that Prof.Dumbledore died in this movie, he's one of my all time favorite character in this movie. Can't wait for the next sequel to see how Potter will find the (forgot the name of the things) and how Hogwarts will looks like with the lose of Prof.Dumbledore.

P/S : Sorry for the spoiler..

10th Day

Hello everyone and Happy Sabbath to my all SDA’s friend out there. We meet again on the 10th day report. There’s nothing much happen today. It’s more or less exactly like yesterday activity. The three of us is still trying our best to complete the task given by David. Today, I came early to the office. I think it’s around 7.40 am. Then follow by Jack and Kristy who came last between the three of us. I think starting this week, we already start headed in to the office by ourselves and not follow last week trend which wait until all of us came. As usual, we start our morning by checking our email, facebook and open our meebo (tabiat pagi2 uda ne..hehe). Then by time all the staff came in to office, we change our concentration to the task and try to troubleshoot it. Remember what happen yesterday? I give up on my method (sa try berjam2 malam kemarin, tapi x dapat2 juga) and follow Kristy/Jack method instead. So, that’s how our day passes by until this evening. We still couldn’t do the second part even though David gives us an idea on how to do it. Well, we leave it for next week as maybe we can think of something this weekend (kalo la ada masa mau buat..haha.) The three of us went back around 5.37 pm. That’s all for today’s report. Roger and Out.
P/S : Today is the last day for the 8 trainee from UMS that also doing their practical in Srikom. This evening is quite chaotic by them as they take picture with almost all the staff. I share their happiness because it means less people in the office starting next week and I can finally change the place I sit (kamurang mau tahu tmpt sa duduk skrang, mimang x strategik langsung sebab itu la tempat jalan utama sama ada mau p atas ka, mau p tmpt big boss ka atau mau p tmpt staff lain).
Last but not least, Happy Sabbath once again.

9th Day

Hello everyone. Here’s my report for the 9th day. I came earlier today than usual around 7.40 am and went back around 5.37 pm. Well, there’s not much I can say for today’s activity as the three of us really try our best and concentrate to complete the task (use to Autoit to test the system they develop) given by David last Tuesday. But as hard as I try my best to complete the task (though it’s a team effort but of course we want to try our own method to solve it), it’s still a total defeat for me today. I’m pretty much disappointed with myself as I couldn’t even complete the task even half of it (well, I consider the task are divided to two part, the first one would be create a query that can access all the record at one time and the second one would be run the first part on multiple window). Your guys’ maybe wondering how Jack and Kristy doing, well they complete the first part, not very sure about the second part since I’m concentrating on the first part all the time. But it’s pretty much show how I’m way behind of two of them in logic programming or maybe even basic programming. I didn’t blame anyone for this but it’s still hurts when things like this happen because of your own incapability. Here’s the big lessons for me today, lose the sometimes overconfident acts in myself and double or maybe triple my effort to improve. The quotes “actions speak louder than words” really got into me today as I’m pretty much talks about it but fail to prove it.
P/S: Credit to both Jack and Kristy since this task made a big impression to David. Hope he will give us more task other than let us sitting there doing nothing.

8th Day

Hello everyone. I’m back for the 8th day report. Today we simply a bit occupied with works but I start with my big mistake today. Just now, my cat fights with other cat (cilaka punya kucing, mau kena sepak ba tu). Then I came there as a hero to save my cat but I use the wrong way to stop the cat fight, instead of using water or broom, I use slipper because it’s the nearest thing near me. Unfortunately, when I throw the slipper towards that damn cat, I hit my cat instead. =.=” What a big mistake I have done. Though it stops the fight but it left my cat with a bruise on its right front leg.
Now back to the real deal. Today I came a bit early than usual but I have to walk a little bit far than usual because my dad is rushing for his course. So, when I arrive there. I felt a bit hot because of the walk. Instead of waiting them like the past days, I decided to come in first than them because it’s quite cold inside the office. I sign in the purple book around 7.40 am follow by Jack and Kristy. This morning I can say that we a bit occupied with works. Straightly after came in, we continue our task been given yesterday about the Autoit software. So, we concentrate on this task until we were called by Eric. Eric ask us to try troubleshoot the Nomadix modem (remember the modem that we replace in Rasa Ria Resort on the 2nd day), so it’s quite interesting to play with that modem since it’s a new device to us (though the modem itself is an old model - I notice it use SD ram). Seems that modem got problem with the ethernet port, so we try to open the casing and plug the cat-5 UTP cable directly in the modem. Seems it still return no connection. So, Eric brings the serial to USB converter and tries to use that instead. By using a software (Tera-tera ka pa. lupa nama dia), we try to boot in to the modem by console. Eric asked us to change the access control IP address so that we can use the web browser to check the modem. He actually wants us to copy the configuration file in the modem (maybe untuk backup mgkn). So, he left us there to settle that thing for him. After we change the access control IP address, boot in and copy the configuration. we try to test some of the features of the modem. Maintain the same features, this modem also support DHCP. Not bad. So, we left the modem inside the office since the modem is function again. As I say earlier, we really occupied with works that morning as we didn’t realized its already 11.30 am that usually take us like hours waiting for that time. So, we went to lunch sharp 12.15 pm. Then, around 1 pm we went back to the office. Around this time, Kristy calls on one of the trainee that also doing her practical in Srikom. Yes, u heard me. It’s “her”. At last our group of three are joined by another girl (ngam la tu, ada uda kawan c Kristy. X juga kami kena kacau oleh dia. Hahaha). I don’t remember her name actually, its maybe Alisha or Elisha (sio aa kalo ko terbaca ne blog. Sa x tertangkap betul nama ko td. Hahaha). She’s also a science computer student majoring in system study in Unimas.I consider her as my kouhai as she’s also an ex-kml after our batch. So, after a little chat between us, we headed to our own laptop to continue our works. Well, the evening session is a bit bored for us. Not bit actually, you can say very. We left there again doing nothing (bukan juga x buat pa2 langsung la. Ada la cuba main2 balik dgn Autoit tu. Tapi mcm x banyak kami bole buat dgn tu software skrang. Pasal tu task pn, mcm itu system balik2 x bole kena access). To make myself busy and avoiding sleepiness overpowering me, so I try to play with the scripting. I try to create a simple scripting that allow two number input from user and later added the number and return the answer. I successfully done that but it take me around an hour plus to complete the scripting. It seems that my basic programming really is rusty. I really need to brush up and refresh the entire thing I learned. Aaaaaaaaaa, that’s how the evening end. I ended up online and surfing until 5.30 pm.
P/S : Eric told us the modem actually got problem since it’s reboot every time we do changes in the router.
Addition: I’m not supposed to post this but I’m hoping that God really help my cousin’s family for their complication they facing now. It makes me worry about them.

7th Day

Hello everyone. I’m back again for the 7th day report. Honestly speaking, I’m not very fond to wake up using alarm clock. I rather wake up naturally. But of course it’s almost impossible for me if we talk about wake early in the morning like 6 to 9 am. But everyone got their day and today is my day. Amazingly, I’m able to wake up at 6.10 am without using the alarm clock (sa on ba tu sebenarnya tapi sa bangun lagi awal dari alarm clock sa..haha). Then, I headed to Srikom fetch by my dad (hari ne sa makan pau ayam untuk breakfast. Sedap woh). For the second straight day, Kristy is the one who came early than both me and Jack (wah. C Kristy bersemangat uda mau p keja, minggu lalu mungkin dia penat2 lagi ba tu mac). Then, I came after her and Jack afterwards. We headed in to the office and as usual a short session with our fellow friends, the purple book (we came in around 7.54 am). After the ‘great’ acts I pull this morning, I was hoping it was some kind of sign that today would be (if not very, slightly it’s consider okay for us) different. But maybe I was hoping too much, it was just like a copy paste activity like last Friday. The only difference is most of the staff are quite busy (suma dorang kuar) today. I realized they talking about DBKK (one of the recent project they working on recently). But you guys must be thinking that the three of us doing nothing at all other than online (kalau kamurang cakap ya, kamurang score 80% la markah..haha), you guys are wrong. We continue to read the project documentation been given by Eric yesterday. Even though it’s slightly bored but we still need to show the staff that we are doing something (hahaha. Sengaja la mau kasi Nampak busy). Until this line, it’s already 3.21 pm (malas mau uda mau baca tu documentation, sa buat la blog time keja). I dunno what will happen after this until 5.30 pm but I’m pretty sure it will be pretty much the same. So, I will update this post later.

Updated: It seems that I was wrong after all. What a turn out event the last 2 hours. Shortly after 3.30 PM, David came back. And suddenly he called the four of us (include Johnathan, still remember him?) to his office. He introduced to us software called Autoit. It’s windows-based software that can automate keystroke from keyboard using scripting. Not much I can say about this software for now since I just use this software for 2 hours. But this software is really cool particularly for system testing (maybe we can use this software to launch DOS attack). Then, David give us (at last…) a task where we have to launch an automate database query simultaneously (actually he just want to test the system database that seems to me was created for the DBKK project). But this task alone make very happy since I’m able at last to make my brain cell move for the first time in my practical. I’m looking forward for tomorrow activity. (^o^)
That’s all for today’s report. Roger and out.
