30th Day

I love Friday. You guys want to know why. First of all, it’s the end of a miserable five days works though I didn’t work for most of the day. Hahaha. Other reason is because the end of today is the beginning of a Sabbath. \^o^/ And one more reason is, it’s sometimes full with surprises. Today, Kok and Lim bring the three of us to DBKK branch in CP to check the network connection complaint by them. But to my surprise, all the reported PC with the network problem is working fine. It seems that there a small miscommunication between Srikom and DBKK that they fail to inform us earlier. Then, we went back to Srikom at noon though we suppose to go back earlier. Between that, well, let just say it’s full with scoreboard, a lot of ball and a lot sound. Hahaha. In the evening, Laura brings Kristy and Kristy brings Jack back to DBKK. I’m not very sure what actually they are doing there; maybe continue back the unsettled things in there. So, I was left in the office alone again. But this time, I occupied the time I have to continue back the backup task given by David. After a short discussion with David, it seems that I have grasped the wrong theory for the first part. Instead of going to the newly created virtual machine and use scp command to copy the whole content and paste it on another virtual machine, I suppose to use SSH to directly went to the host itself and look for the directory contains the virtual machine and use scp command to copy it and paste it on another virtual host. Though I successfully copy the virtual machine directory and paste it on another host. But I still can’t activate the virtual machine and I thought it will automatically appear after perform the scp command. Even Johnathan can’t solve it. Gosh, have to work harder this coming Monday. That’s all for today’s report.
P/S: Happy Sabbath to all my SDA’s friends out there and may God bless you.

29th Day

I want to share something with you guys today. Have you ever felt that the time from midnight until early morning or if I simplify it in one word which is night sleep felt so short, it’s felt like a blink of an eye. Gosh, I never enjoy my morning wakeup call as I should be like last time during this practical. Maybe because I felt so tired in the office though I didn’t do much physical activity in the office. LOL. Or maybe because I just felt lazy. I wonder why? One more thing, I realized I don’t have that much time to do my usual activity such as playing games or even watching anime, it’s not that I didn’t have time at all but it just seems the time passes by so fast in home rather than in office which I wishes every single day from last 5 weeks ago. Well anyway, I just need to move forward and looks at the brighter side.
Now, for today’s activity, there’s not much thing happen. The only significant things that happen today is we send our log book to David at last for signing which we suppose to send it every week. Another thing is we officially start the backup task today. Just in case if I forgot, I will detailed the step in here. Started by backup the snapshot file from primary server and merge it to the secondary server. Then, activate the snapshot file in the secondary server. It looks easy as you thought it could be. But it’s quite tricky. Firstly, we have to copy the whole hard disk content from primary to the secondary server using SCP or secure copy command which I never use or even heard before. Then, we must make sure three things which is IP, disk space and the account username, password. After that, perform the snapshot. The next step I don’t really sure whether I’m correct or not, I will just detailed it based on today’s explanation. There are five important file that we must take notice which is .vmdk, .-flat which is the actual data, .vmx , .vmsd which is the snapshot file and .cmfx which is the descriptor for .vmx. The last step is to perform this entire step automatically. Sounds easy? Well, at least not for me.
That’s all for today’s report.

28th Day

Hais. There’s nothing to report for today’s activity. It’s just plain bored and unproductive day. The only significance things that I remember I do today are teaching some unknown guys with Kristy on how to how to create database, table and configure the relationship between the tables. The rest of it is just meaningless activity which is online surfing. I wonder what waiting for us tomorrow.

27th Day

We back again on the normal office life which is full with boredness and unproductive day. Well at least for the three of us, not exactly the three of us I would probably say because Kristy do went out in the evening join Laura to DBKK to settle back the things we do yesterday and left myself and Jack in the office. Though we do been introduced a software called HP Blade System Onboard Administrator that can remotely control the HP server, HP computer and even HP related network devices by David that morning. Plus a little talk that I forgot the contents. But afterwards, we just sit there doing almost nothing other than online surfing. Regarding about the backup task, we still didn’t have any idea on how to start the task. Hopefully we have something better to do for tomorrow.

26th Day

What a day. It’s another full day again in DBKK. Straightly past 9 am, Kenny brings the three of us back to DBKK to settle our jobs which was incomplete last Friday. We went back to the ground floor to take all the IP address and change the authentication properties and then tagged the switches and also untagged the entire computer on its own VLAN. At the same time, we still do a minor task asked by the staff such as fixed the connection to the virtual printer and even help them change the wallpaper. It’s quite an enjoying day and honestly I didn’t even realize the time passed by so fast. The best thing is, i even have chance to play Tekken at arcade game centre near Milimewa during lunch (jgn mengular selalu time keja, x bagus..kadang2 ok. haha). But still, we didn’t manage to complete the job and most likely will headed there again. I wonder what other activity waiting for us for tomorrow.

P/S: I'm quite happy with the activity that I have done this past few days. Not only it's related to network, we also were given chance to do it by ourselves. Hopefully, we will have more activity like this for the next coming days.

Bitter Sweet Weekends

What a weekend. For second straight week, I can’t go to church because of unexpected activity. Yesterday, Mr. Chris held a workshop for half day in the office. It’s a short workshop about leadership, communication and all sorts of things. It’s kind of bored but it’s not a bad thing either. Then, shortly after the workshop finish, I accompany Jack headed to Karamunsing as he got something to buy in there. For myself, well because of the amount of money I spent just recently to upgrade my computer, so I left with a small amount of money to spent with (the rest of it are kept for my driving license). Then, that night I went out again with my friends to watch movie. Gosh, G.I. Joe is one of the best movies I watch this year, totally on my top five movie list I watched.

How about today? I continue back on the pursue for my driving license as I attend the workshop today. 3 hours theory and 3 hours driving (well, not exactly 3 hours). It’s been almost 2 years I didn’t drive and for sure I lack a bit of skill there and here. But of course, if it just the normal driving, I think I’m not that rusty. But it's fun to watch another student who have just learned to drive a car (actually, i'm not alone just now, got another girls who also choose my tutor as her prerable tutor. Then, when it comes for her turns to drive and i went back to the back seat, it's quite hilarious to watch her been scolded. But i forgive her since she's kind of cute on my terms. But sadly, i don't have much chance to talk more with her. The only moments that i could remember that we exchanging words between both of us is when we rest for a while before we went sent home. She asks me how i know to drive, then i just show her my L license back in Malacca to cut the story short. I heard her hissing to herself the word "oo..87" when she looks at that license. I wonder what could that mean, is it means i'm looks older than my age or the opposite way. Then on the way back home, based on the conversation her and my tutor, she seems will be taking driving class on the weekdays. At that point, my heart says "damn u Industrial Training..i hate u" because i can only take my driving class on sunday. Don't get me wrong here, though i sounds like i'm desperate looking for a girls, but actually i just want to brush up my communication skills with girls. I take action based on the what Mr. Chris says on his workshop about communication. Hahaha. See how concentrate i am yesterday. Honestly, I am a good talker with the boys but when it comes to the girls, maybe a bit different. Some girls may notice i react differ with the other girls and vice versa. That's the part i want brush up. I need to be friend more with different girls with different personality. That's the whole point. Hehehe)

Though it seems my weeks is quite a mixed fun activity but there's also a sad things happen. I just got the news that my cousins daughter have passed away last Saturday night after been in SMC for a week last week. It's very sad to see when a 5 years old girls passed away because of internal bleeding in the brain, i felt sorry to my cousins. I hope she be strong.

That’s how my weekend was spent.

Update : The funeral will be held this morning at Kota Marudu on 8 am but since there's not enough transport to go there, so i can't attend the funeral. I can only pray to God so that her soul may rest in peace and give strength to her mom, my cousins. Amen.
